The Power Enterprise of the SFPUC is San Francisco’s public electric utility, providing 100% greenhouse gas-free Hetch Hetchy Power to meet the municipal requirements of the City and County of San Francisco, including operation of Muni streetcars and electric trolleys, street lights, electric vehicle charging stations, and municipal buildings such as public schools, hospitals, libraries, and the Airport. In May 2016, the Power Enterprise launched CleanPowerSF, San Francisco’s Community Choice Aggregation program. Community Choice Aggregation is a State program that allows cities and counties to partner with the local investor-owned distribution utility (Pacific Gas and Electric Company, PG&E) to deliver cleaner energy to residents and businesses. Under these programs, PG&E continues to maintain the power grid, respond to outages and send you your monthly bill (with CleanPowerSF energy charges replacing PG&E energy charges).
Thanks. God bless.
