I’ve shared a book from Google Play Books

Handbook of Workplace Spirituality and Organizational Performance, Robert A Giacalone.

Silicon Valley, working long, almost endless hours was a sign of your importance—if you had to be on-site all the time, it must mean the company could not survive without you. Working long hours was also presumably a signal of commitment to your employer, indicating that work came first, before other interests and obligations. It got to the point where people would come to work after hours or the weekend, for instance, at Apple Computer, just to sign in and then leave to do other things.

Thanks. God bless.
